Hello to Fall

Hello to Fall

Yes, it is Fall here in the Inland Northwest. The leaves all beautiful red, gold, yellow and brown have mostly fallen to the ground. The grounds man here at Sessions Village has been very busy leaving big black bags stuffed with leaves around the grounds. It's nice to see a man sweating on a crispy cool day. I'm completely moved into my small 2 bedroom apartment, I say small because my 3 bedroom house is standing empty and looks huge and a little lonely. I signed with a realtor and pray the house sales soon so I can live the care free life of a renter. It was easier than I thought it would be unpacking boxes and tucking things away in a corner here and a corner there. I even parted with a number of items, sold to the estate man, that a year ago I thought I couldn't live without. Yes, it is very freeing, letting go of long held possessions and now I can't imagine needing them at all. My dog Jake is getting used to apartment living too, although he has run away a few times and on 2 occasions went back to our house. Since it is only a few blocks away and he runs through a field of weeds to get there, when I finally get him home he is full of stickers and weeds. I keep telling him he doesn't live there anymore. The girl next door either calls me to come get him or puts him in the back yard and shuts the gate on him. When I sell the house I'll have to notify the new owners they will have a part time pet. I'm hoping Jake will finally learn there are no treats waiting for him there and he will stay home where he is spoiled as every good dog should be. Well friends I hope to do a little better with my blogging now that I'm settled into my life of leisure and can spend more time at the key board. I'm looking forward to the wonderful holiday season that is ahead. I hope you are too.
